Regretfully, Dragonfly Effectors are no longer producing guitar effects pedals and are now closed.
Thank you to everyone that supported our first and only effector, the very limited edition, Dragonfly Effectors BM-1 Black Metal Distortion concept pedal. This was our first attempt at releasing a collectible guitar pedal and we definitely learned a lot from the experience. We also made many new friends along the way! We were basically a very small, ebay based company and were also a dealer of other brands of effects pedals as well as new and used guitars and basses. We had plans to release more concept/collectible guitar pedals, but unfortunately at this time, it is not possible. Dragonfly Effectors are now officially closed.
We're pleased to have been available to provide all Dragonfly BM-1 Black Metal pedal owners customer service and repairs for over one full year after the last pedal was sold in 2009.
Please note: The Dragonfly Effectors BM-1 Black Metal concept pedal is no longer available to purchase brand new from anywhere. If you see this pedal listed for sale as "New" on ebay, online classifieds etc., it's not. It may be in excellent or mint cosmetic condition, but it should not be considered brand new. You are no longer buying it directly from us or from an "authorized dealer." There is no warranty or guarantee available for it anymore. You are buying it second-hand. This is not a bad thing, but please be aware of it. The Dragonfly Effectors BM-1 Black Metal pedal was never available to purchase brand new from any store or from any dealer or distributor other than us. This remains true to this day. The Dragonfly Effectors BM-1 Black Metal pedal is officially no longer available to purchase brand new anywhere. Period.
For all of the ebay collectors out there: Please keep in mind that the Dragonfly BM-1 Black Metal pedal's original retail price was between $74.95 USD and $84.95 USD (not including shipping charge). It was not a high priced pedal to begin with. Please keep this in mind when bidding on ebay.
In closing, regarding the BM-1 Black Metal pedal, our mission was simple: They made a Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal and even a Metal Core pedal, but nobody seemed to care about making a Black Metal themed pedal. We thought it was time to do something about it. We teamed with one of the World's best OEM musical instrument companies in order to create the BM-1. This pedal was a very limited, special run production (only 666 hand numbered pedals were made available to the general public). Due to this extremely low production number, we did our best to keep the price of the pedal reasonable for everyone (the pedal sold between $74.95 USD and $84.95 USD, not including shipping...about the same price as many common name brand pedals.) This pedal was intended for die hard fans and collectors only. We do realize that there are many ways to to make a distorted guitar sound, and we know you do, too. We will never claim that this pedal is the best way achieve a raw "Black Metal" guitar tone. The BM-1 was, of course, always meant to be a fun collectible above all else. At the same time, we took this pedal very seriously and did our best to pay respect to the genre as tastefully as possible. Call it what you will. Love it, or hate it...This pedal was a labor of love and it was an honor to present it to only a very few of you. It is our small tribute to the most powerful music on Earth. Again, our eternal gratitude goes to all of you that supported this effector and it's concept.
Thank you!
Dragonfly Effectors. Thinking outside of the stompbox.

Dragonfly Effectors mission statement:
Dragonfly Effectors team with only the World's best OEM musical instrument companies in order to create strictly limited edition concept pedals. Our mission: Modest effector pedals that already exist, shall be rethought, regenerated, and thus, reborn. We give high quality, yet often unsung effectors radical visual, as well as conceptual redesigns. We take these pedals to a place that was never intended by their original designers. The end result makes for an entirely new, highly unique, effect experience. We do not modify the OEM effector internally. Our primary focus is to develop new and unusual ways of visually presenting electric guitar pedals. This is achieved with the use of bold and symbolic artwork. The process is more than a simple rebranding. We approach these effectors from a different perspective. The objective is to totally redefine the pedal's purpose. It is to awaken and explore an existing effector's alternate potential. Our limited edition concept pedals are fully authorized by their OEM companies. The OEM nature of our effectors allow us to offer the customer an exceptional quality, as well as very limited edition, collectible specialty pedal, all without the often high boutique price. We create effector pedals that are not intended for everyone. We produce effectors that many of the "big companies" would never dare. Our goal is to provoke thought and to inspire musical creativity.
